RTI: A major change in the way PAYE is administered in the UK
Realtime information(RTI) is bringing a major change to the way that PAYE is administered in the UK. Are you ready for these changes? RTI will mean that returns will need to be made HMRC whenever a payment is made to an employee. For instance if you pay employees weekly you will make 52 returns a year and if you pay employees monthly you will need to make 12 returns a year.
RTI is available to all employers from April 2013 and from October 2013 it will be compulsory for all employers to report under RTI.
It is essential that all the information you keep is accurate and up to date. We advise that all employers review their payroll systems. Please discus RTI with your payroll provider or call David on (01208) 813377 for advice.
This excellent video from Sage explains RTI in a practical way and examines the impact on your business.
