Why should you ask before you act?

Recently a accountant placed an article in a local paper discussing the advantages of using the flat rate scheme for VAT. It is important to note that this scheme is not appropriate for all clients and in some circumstances this scheme could bring unforeseen tax consequences. Ultimately the decision to apply the flat rate scheme could be a costly mistake for your business if you do not seek expert advice. Please ask before you act.
